AudioLingual (“we,” “our,” “us”) provides language-learning tools, including the free Dual Subtitles for YouTube Chrome extension. Our website is https://audiolingual.ca.

- What information the extension and website collect (very little).
- How that information is used, stored, and shared.
- Your choices and rights.
3. What information we collect

4. How we use information
- Translation. Caption text is sent securely to Google Translate (
translate.googleapis.com) solely to receive a translated string, then displayed locally. - Local storage. Extension settings are stored only on your device and never sent to our servers.
- Website analytics. We review aggregated, anonymized traffic data to understand website performance.
5. How we share information
We do not sell or share personal data. The only third party involved is Google Translate for automated translation of caption text.
6. Cookies & tracking
- The extension sets no cookies.
- The website uses only essential cookies (e.g., for WordPress session management).
7. Data retention
- Caption text is processed in real time and not stored by us.
- Local settings remain on your browser until you remove the extension or clear Chrome’s storage.
8. Security
We use industry-standard HTTPS encryption for all traffic to audiolingual.ca and the Google Translate API.
9. Children’s privacy
AudioLingual tools are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
